Hello,
I have tried to install x86 vista on a seperate drive with my WinXP Pro system. It restarted and I got a stop error...
0x0000007B (0x81B99BB0, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
The boot screen options go by too fast to get into XP unless I luck out. How can I remove the boot loader option so I can boot normally and just delete the Vista files?
Thanks,
Lou

Removing boot loader?
You can select XP at the OS selection screen, but you have to be really fast... as soon as you see the screen, hit the up arrow to select the older version of Windows. Once you have selected it, hit enter and you should boot into XP once again:) it's all about the quickness...lol

I had the same problem. I don't know about the specifics but I got to that screen and then every time I had to reboot, I got stuck at the same place where I had to react quickly.
I found the following site and the program that I downloaded from there did the trick.

Thanks a bunch! That didn't remove the boot loader but it did give me default access to my system again.
Thanks again,
Lou

It's probably already on here somewhere else, but here is how to fix it (remove the bootloader and access to vista completely) To do this you need to know the administrator password for XP. This is the weblink for the XP recovery console, ill summarise below but refer to this article for more detailed information if your boot config is not as simple as mine. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;314058
Boot from your XP installation media. At the welcome to windows setup screen press 'R' to repair installation. Windows will search from previous installations, select the one you want to log on to: in my case this was C:\windows - NOTE vista installs do not appear here. Provide admin password when prompted. At command prompt type 'fixboot %drive%' NOTE - replace %drive% is the normal boot drive for your machine - typically 'c:\' but this may differ depending on your setup. Windows will prompt if you are sure you want to overwrite the boot sector. When done, type 'exit' to reboot your machine and remove the installation media, it should clean boot into windows XP.
Remember that if you have a multiboot configuration ie: XP/Linux, XP/Win98 this will also fry that too. There are instructions in the link above for doing more advanced operations like rebuilding a boot menu.
Hope this helps.
